A palace like no other, Palais Liechtenstein is the most magical of all luxury wedding venues in Vienna, the home of legendary composer Wolfgang Mozart. Built over 300 years ago, Palais Liechtenstein consists of two incredible and breathtaking palaces, steeped in Vienna’s rich history of music and art - Garden Palace and City Palace.
Esteemed in its historic culture of the arts, Vienna is fast becoming the destination of choice for society weddings. The city has no shortage of classical baroque palaces that are now being used as luxury wedding venues. Coupled with the fact that it is not as populated with tourism and events when compared to Paris or Florence, Vienna makes the perfect destination for luxury weddings for couples looking for something unique.
Parth Jindal, son of Indian Industrialist Sajjan Jindal hosted his wedding in Vienna in 2015 whilst Sunil Vaswani hosted his daughter’s wedding in the city in 2017. The large guest lists saw the who’s who of the Indian society flock to the capital for the celebration. However, many uber-luxury weddings go unnoticed in Vienna, with discretion being paramount in this historical city.
Garden Palace Weddings, Vienna
The Garden Palace, with its stunning gardens is available to hire on an exclusive basis with our luxury wedding planners and party planners for the most prestigious of celebrations. The palace symbolises the highest levels of craftsmanship in architecture and art. A selection of masterpieces of the private art collection of the Prince von und zu Liechtenstein, from the early Renaissance to the High Baroque is available to view in a private tour.
On a gorgeous day, you may wish to welcome your guests in the Princely Garden, a magnificent oasis of landscape architecture. With a total of five impressive hectares of manicured gardens, you may take a large portion of this on an exclusive basis for your Luxury Outdoor Wedding, Garden Party or Celebration.
The interior of the Garden Palace is not short of impressive event spaces, with the Sala Terrena on the ground floor, the three former Ladies' Apartments as well as the Hercules Hall on the first floor. The Princely Library is another highlight of the palace.
The impressive Hercules Hall is Vienna’s largest baroque hall. The perfectly restored magnificent ceiling fresco by Andrea Pozzo and the impressive marble columns form the splendid setting for formal dinners for up to 300 guests and makes the perfect ballroom for your Wedding or Party.
City Palace Weddings, Vienna
Located just across the city, next to the world-famous National Theatre of Vienna, is the incredible City Palace. Also knows as the Winter Palace of Prince Eugene, it is said to be the first major building of the High Baroque age in Vienna. The magnificent ensemble of Baroque stucco ceilings and opulent neo-Rococo interiors are complimented by original furnishings and the finest parquet floor.
City Palace is home to a number of historic rooms available for Weddings and Private Parties. In addition, the Minoritenhalle on the ground floor, with its light wood cladding and direct access to the courtyard, offers an attractive and modern alternative.
Most famous of all these heritage rooms is the grandiose, regal 16th-century Ballroom. With its huge chandeliers, it is the largest room in the City Palace and suited to intimate dinners of no more than 100 guests. Boasting tonnes of gold gilding along the ceilings and walls, the room is suited for elegant and sophisticated black tie dinners with understated decor, allowing the opulence room to do all the talking.
For couples who wish for something less opulent, or to use a second space for after-dinner dancing - the Concert Room works wonders for any occasion. Equally as stunning but less ornate, it has gentle touches of styling when compared to the ballroom. The Concert Room allows couples to be more imaginative with flowers and decorations and also holds 100 seated for a dinner.
