Synonymous with art and fashion, Hotel Plaza Athénée has long drawn creative luminaries. Its story begins in 1913 on Avenue Montaigne. A neighbourhood known for soaring architecture, with views stretching across Paris, it quickly caught the eye of composers and artists. Then, in 1947, Christian Dior opened his flagship house of couture.
Fashion is the thread that runs through this venue. When The Dorchester Collection acquired Hotel Plaza Athénée in 2001, and the official French distinction of a palace was bestowed upon the hotel, its reputation for finesse and flair came to the global stage.
