David Beckham's 40th birthday bash

Forty years old? Already? You may ask? David Beckham has been entertaining our screens for over twenty years and ‘Golden Balls’ has just celebrated his big 4-0 in style. No sooner than joining Instagram on the morning of his 40th birthday, he racked up an enormous 3million followers within a day, proving he is still as popular as ever.

Infact the guestlist was something you would find at an Oscar’s ceremony – Eva Longoria and Liv Tyler and David Blaine headed the star-studded A-listers who turned up to celebrate. The Spice Girls had a mini-reunion with only Mel B missing from the lineup and Gordon Ramsay was also in attendance alongside David’s best friend Gary Neville.

The venue of choice was the super-luxury Amanjena resort in Marrakech, chosen for its private pools and incredible views. With the venue exclusively taken over by the Beckhams, the Arab themed extravaganza featured local belly dancers, snake charmers and ofcourse lots and lots of candles.

The menu featured traditional Lamb, cooked in a sandpit alongside Moroccan monkfish served in tagines, a scrumptious local salad and red velvet cake for dessert.

Security was paramount for such an occasion with bodyguards and armed police keeping watch over the weekend.
